The policy of the Faculty of Social Information Studies is to teach the skills necessary to live in the 21st century's advanced information society, namely problem-solving skills and the ability to organize and apply information; and to cultivate independent individuals who are capable of making appropriate decisions regarding lifestyle, the environment and information. In other words, people who correctly make use of information to communicate with other people, participate in various aspects of society, and have a clear vision of the paths they want to take in their lives.
To support these goals, we provide a broad scope of specialized education, including sociology, and information and natural sciences. This includes supplementary courses to improve fundamental scholastic ability before entry to the school; basic seminars held in small groups; seminars and graduation theses aimed at improving problem-solving skills, practical training regarding information processing. These are conducted over the four years of the course to cultivate organizational and applied information skills; and language education, centered around English, to improve a broad range of communication skills.
