In a knowledge-based society, the role of graduate school is becoming increasingly important. In order to meet the needs of the community, the Otsuma Women's University has established the Graduate School of Studies in Human Culture to train students to become first-rate researchers and professionals, and to cultivate students who will become graduates with high level intellectual accomplishments to support this knowledge-based society.
This graduate course strives to develop students who can demonstrate leadership from an international perspective in this globalized information-based society and who can realize their own independence while deepening their relationships with others. This is accomplished through cross-disciplinary combined studies to promote theoretical, specialized, and practical high level educational research, while emphasizing each individual specialty related to human life and culture. Enriching coursework, from a broad interdisciplinary and general viewpoint, is provided by over 100 professors.
