This program is conducted at a graduate school certified by Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists. The curriculum also allows students to take the courses necessary to obtain certification as a certified psychologist. This program trains capable clinical psychologists and Certified Public Psychologists who can provide appropriate psychological support and conduct research in various areas such as “health care,” “welfare services,” “education,” “law & crime,” and “industry & labor” in the future. Students will study various therapy techniques such as psychoanalytic psychotherapy, client-centered therapy, analytical psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy, and they will learn through practice in a number of cases under a system of close supervision.
In addition, a major feature of this program is its system of postgraduate school education.
This program fosters personnel with a dynamic perspective who are proficient in psychotherapy and projective tests (primarily the Rorschach test).
The program has impressive job placement rates with many students who have completed this program active as clinical psychologists and Certified Public Psychologists in their fields.
